What Propels you?

As a christian...what propels you?

To wake up?

To read the newspaper?

To look at the internet?

To love someone?

To live?

Here's a spoken word from myself given by God to express something that needs to be said to eduify the body of Christ.

" It's sickening, to see the stuff that I see
Literally little kids are spittin' words of a G(Gangster)
either on the big screen or little t.v.'s
mimmicking the emcee's (Rap artist)
Who try to possess you and me
With little words that become monsterous thoughts
Makin' kids smahin' kids like they're juggernauts
While they're carrying heat that is hotter than hot
Next thing you learn on the news, your boy just got shot!
Because popular demand has gone way out of hand
Drugs and guns make everyone feel like they're superman
So that means that the law means nothing to them
So that makes them lawless and makes them full of sin( if they knew of their wrong)
So what's feeding them? what's in their cereal bowls?
What propels us man to take another man's soul?
You need to ask yourself this..
What propels you to live?
It's not these abominable lies that invade our ears
Or flood us with tears thru all these years
Because depression is a disease that is so severe
thru R&B and the straight up sad tunes
They're just as bad as the violently bad tunes
They feed you cuz you're greedy
Of something that sounds pleasing
So you roll on a low throne(Car)
and listen to sex and street themes
Well here's a new theme it just hit your block
The Emcee is Christ alone and it's called holy hip hop
And all that junk you listen to man it needs to stop
So God can put your soul and life on lock!

If you are a christian and you know right from wrong ,especially from the ten commandments and the law of loving God with all your mind,body,spirit and strength, are you compromising your walk? Are you listening to junk that offends God?What about with your eyes? Are you watching rated R movies knowing that you'll see a sexy scene or a scene of violence that Jesus wouldn't see? Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost(1 Cortinthians 6:18-20) . I know we slip and give in to our flesh sometimes but what effort are you making to live as a bondservant of Jesus (Ephesians 6:5-9) everyday? On Judgement day, we will be accountable to what we hear, see, preach (Matthew 12:36-37) and how we live. I can go on and on about it,but I won't. Everyday we must give an account to ourselves to what we feed ourselves as christians. Why do you think people slander christians?Because we eat the same things they eat which is worldly music,worldly wisdom, and worldly gods like money and fame. If you're a christian, be one. Feed up on God and his word and what pleases him. IF you're not a christian, morality still hits you in one way or another,but you need Christ in your heart to be propelled to live anyway. to live is Christ and to die is gain( Phillipians 1:21).
